Duration Policy: All rentals are charged on a "per-day" basis. You will not be charged for the day you pick up your rentals, nor the day you return them prior to noon (12:00 p.m.). Late rental returns will result in extra charges.

Damage Policy: Returning damaged rental equipment without damage insurance will result in additional charges to repair damaged items, or to cover the full replacement cost if repair isn't possible.

Theft/Loss Policy: Damage insurance DOES NOT cover the theft or loss of rental equipment. You are responsible for returning the exact items rented, even if damaged. The "equivalent" equipment from another rental shop will not be accepted.

• A Visa or Mastercard for the purposes of a pre-authorization for the amount determined by the style of rental equipment you are renting. This credit card must be in your name and must be present at the time of renting (no phone reservations or pre-authorizations).

• A valid Driver's License or passport (with name matching the credit card you provide for pre-authorization).

• A signature on the rental agreement, agreeing to the terms and conditions of the rental agreement. Thus, you must be 18 years of age or older OR have a parent or guardian present to rent and sign on your behalf.

Q: Can I reserve my rental in advance?
A: Yes, you may reserve your rental as early as the Monday prior to your rental weekend. To do this, we require you to visit the store in-person to pay for your rental and complete your rental agreement. At this time we will assign you your equipment and hold it in the store until your pickup day.

Q: Can I reserve my rental over the phone?
A: No.

Q: What is a $400 credit card pre-authorization?
A: A pre-authorization is a temporary freeze of $400 on your credit card. It does not go into our account, nor does it leave your account -- it simply freezes that amount until your rental has been returned. Your Visa or Mastercard must have $400 available to freeze. The charge of $400 will only go through in the case of an unreturned rental or if you (without damage insurance) refuse to pay for damage which you are liable for.

Q: I don't have a credit card. Can someone else do the pre-authorization?
A: Yes, but the rental will have to be in their name. They must be over the age of 18, will have to provide their own driver's license or passport and must be present in the store to sign the rental agreement. Essentially, they become the rentee on your behalf. If you are 18 years of age or older, you must also be present to sign the rental agreement.

Q: Can I leave a $400 deposit instead of a credit card pre-authorization?
A: No.

Q: I don't have a driver's license or passport. Can I still rent?
A: No, but someone who qualifies as a rentee may rent on your behalf.

Q: I'm good/bad/fast/careful. Do I really need damage insurance?
A: Fall on a ski pole at any speed and expect to bend or break it. Scrape the ski/board base across a mountain rock and expect base damage. Damage insurance isn't mandatory, but we recommend it. Rental equipment without damage insurance is expected to return in the exact condition it left the store in.
